First of all – it’s not about me ‘being funny.’ Well, not in the ‘how very amusing’ sense of the word. In my part of the world being referred to as a ‘funny lass’ is more about being perceived to be a bit of an oddity, a bit unusual. Perhaps a bit annoying at times. But mostly (hopefully) this term tends to be lobbed at someone in a rather affectionate manner.
And the ‘exceptional’ bit? Well, I try and default towards believing in the good in people. And I run with a crowd who believe that the word ‘exceptional’ is not about academic achievement or about your salary, your credentials or your wordly achievements.
Have a dabble, have a nosey-poke around a random collection of the blogs and you’ll soon gather that my interests include politics, religion (or *not*), poverty, learning disabilities and humour.
Oh – and did I mention that I’m from the North of England? I’m sure that I did …
